The preseason.
The Colts use three-day camps, one-day audition events, and video auditions to establish membership in the corps. Each of these events can lead to 1) a contract of membership, 2) a recall so we can evaluate you further, 3) a recommendation for our Open Class corps — Colt Cadets, or 4) an invitation to try again next year. Click “Audition” above for further details.
Video Auditions
Enrollment in the Red Zone — our preseason audition curriculum — includes an opportunity to submit a video audition for no additional fee. Video auditions are recommended, but not required, so you can get feedback from our staff prior to attending a live event. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND ONE OF OUR WEEKEND CAMPS. In some instances, students will be offered a contract of membership based on their video audition. To be considered for the next round of member contracts, if you are not able to attend the weekend camp, SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO BY DECEMBER 15!
2025 Live Events
Offers of full membership will be extended following each event. If there are special circumstances that make attendance at one of these events impossible, first let us know via the Camp RSVP, and then contact your caption head to express your interest in a spot, and to discuss preparations you should make for the next rehearsal (for color guard, this could be in April following WGI). Contracted members are expected to attend all three-day rehearsal camps scheduled for their section — especially the April rehearsal weekend. Attendance at events, and communication about attendance, is required of all Colts members throughout the preseason.
The cost to attend our preseason events below is $100. Please note event details below may change. Always check colts.org before leaving for a camp for the most up to date information. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND ONE OF OUR WEEKEND CAMPS. Camps are a callback for video auditions, first-time auditions for those who did not submit a video, and rehearsals for all members as we prepare for the coming season.THREE-DAY CAMPS
