Hall Of Fame Class Of 2026 Honored At Music On The March

The Colts Youth Organization welcomed a collection of outstanding individuals into the Colts Hall of Fame with the selection of the Class of 2026. A current board member, our current executive director, and the entire national championship color guard were selected for induction.

LeAnn Splitter has been involved with the Colts orgazniation for 25 years. She began as a member of the soprano section in 2001, then joined the instructional staff as a member of the "vis team" following her age out. She has been an organizer of any Colts alumni corps of the past 20 years, and currently serves as a member of the Colts Corporation Board of Directors.

Jeff MacFarlane followed his four older siblings into the Colts organization starting as a snare drummer in the Colt .45 Cadets in 1973. After a few decades away from the activity working in Dubuque's graphic design and advertising community, he got back involved with the Colts when his son joined the Colt Cadets in 2004. In 2005, he joined the office as a full-time employee and in 2012, took over the reins as executive director of the Colts Youth Organization until announcing his retirement earlier this year following the 2026 summer tour.

The 1976 Colts Color Guard holds the distinction of winning the only national championship in the history of the Colts Youth Organization — the 1976 V.F.W. Color Guard National Championship. But their crowning achievement came a few months earlier. Prior to the formation of WGI (Winter Guard International), the competition with the most prestige in winter guard circles was the Midwest Circuit Color Guard Championship held each year in the Chicago suburbs. In their first season of competition, the Colts Color Guard burst onto the scene by winning the title and earning the respect of color guards across the country. On the 50th anniversary of their achievement, we welcome their entire team into the Colts Hall of Fame.
