February 24, 2025

The Colts Drum & Bugle Corps is excited to introduce two key additions to their staff for the 2025 season. Sean McElroy joins the Colts staff as program facilitator and staff coordinator after several years of working with Carolina Crown and a variety of WGI percussion ensembles. Sara Even, an alumna of the Colts and Colt Cadets, returns to the organization as audion systems designer, bringing a vast amount of experience creating sound design for clients worldwide.
“We are thrilled to add these two significant members to our team,” said Colts Director Vicki MacFarlane. “Sara and Sean have each been working at the highest level of their craft. Their knowledge and experiences expand an already exceptional team that has worked together since the fall of 2019.”Sean will be responsible for connecting the dots between the design team and instructional staff — especially as the production becomes more refined throughout the season. In addition to Carolina Crown, Sean has worked with The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps and Phantom Regiment. In his native Colorado, he marched with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps and Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble.Sara is a freelance audio engineer and co-owner of Even Better Audio, an independent audio services firm with over 50 years of combined experience in the live audio industry. She has worked on a variety of Broadway shows and created sound design for Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil. Her firm boasts a prominent roster of global corporations and networks including Salesforce, Dell Technologies, GM, Toyota, The New York Times, and NBC. Sara has been inspired watching the drum corps activity evolve to incorporate audio and electronics, and she is excited to give back to her hometown Red Team.Read more about Sean, Sara, and all of our staff members on the Colts Staff page.Return to Colts News.
