Colts Summer Band Set To Kick Off June 7th

After a nearly three-year hiatus, the Colts Youth Organization is excited to announce the return of the Colts Summer Band. Due to pandemic restrictions, the Colts Summer Band was sidelined for 2020 and 2021. The program offers an ensemble performance opportunity and summer lessons for instrumental music students in grades 4-8. Any instrumental music student in the tri-state area is welcome to participate.

Colts Summer Band lessons and ensemble rehearsals are held at Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School under the direction of Dan Norman and Alan Kiser. The program runs four weeks with rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings beginning on June 7, 2022. The cost is $50 and includes all instruction and a Colts Summer Band t-shirt. CONCERT WITH THE COLT CADETS

The Colts Summer Band will rehearse over four weeks to prepare for a concert performance at the Alliant Energy Amphitheater on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM. In the short amount of time they are together, the group will learn 6-7 charts in a variety of musical genres. “An Evening of Music by the River” will also feature the Colt Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps and a performance of their 2022 show, To The Stars.
