Updates: Dubuque Rehearsal & Audition Weekend

December 12, 2016

CAMP LOCATION
This weekend's audition camp location has been confirmed for Roosevelt Middle School in Dubuque. Plan on arriving at 6:30 pm to begin check-in and unloading. Rehearsal will begin at 8 pm. Most camp activities will take place at Roosevelt Middle School - the color guard will be bussed to Five Flags Center in downtown Dubuque on Saturday to allow the full corps to make the most use of their time and the spaces provided. All transportation will be provided.

WEEKEND WEATHER
The Colts office is closely monitoring the weather for this upcoming weekend. The safety of our students, parents and staff members is the most important. Remember to check the Colts website before leaving for camp for any updates. If you have any delays or complications with your travel to camp, be sure to let the Colts Office know as well. Numbers and emails are listed HERE. Those driving are reminded to drive carefully and slowly while on roads that may be covered with snow. Those driving are also encouraged to plan extra time for getting to Dubuque in case of weather delays. While all camp activities will be inside, students are reminded to dress for the weather, as they will be outside during unloading and loading during the weekend.

PARENTS WELCOME!
As with all camps, parents are welcome and encouraged to attend! There are a wide variety of projects going on throughout the weekend - cooking in the kitchen, sewing projects, work at the corps hall, etc. If you have power tools (and sewing machines count as a power tool!) and would like to bring them, please do! There will be plenty to do throughout the weekend. Parents are welcome to bring a sleeping bag and air mattress and sleep in a classroom at the school, or you can find a discounted rate at the Hampton Inn here in Dubuque. Please call the hotel directly at (563)-690-2005 and ask for the Colts Drum Corps rate.
